Date night makeup tutorial x 3

Date night makeup can and should be anything that makes you feel sexy and good. I think a full glam look with a smokey eye is an awesome choice for a date, but it’s not everyone’s cup of tea. I wanted to challenge myself a bit when it comes to my typical date look, so I created three date looks that have a bit of pink or red in them. You know, with Valentine’s Day around the corner and all that.

Date night makeup looks

From dark plum to soft pink, here are my date looks with tutorials!

Tip: when you want the colors to really compliment you, choose either warm or cool tones depending on your undertone. Cool tones for cool undertones and warmer tones for warm undertones. You can also pair cool and warm colors together to balance the look a bit. I, for example, tend to look better in warm tones, so I tried adding warmth to all the looks. That said, some of the cool colors still clash with my warm hair and skin a bit. But I just really wanted to focus on some cool colors for a change, because they can look amazing especially if you have cooler blonde hair or more of a neutral skin tone. And in a way, this is a personal preference. If you think a certain color looks good on you (cool or warm), go ahead and wear that.

This pink lipstick from Too Faced is super bright and super beautiful. Perfect for a little power lip moment!

Here is an older look, where  I wore the lipstick with a super warm eye look and a white top. I think it looks even better here.

This eye look is as simple as it gets. I used just shimmer colors all over the eye. The darkest color goes in the outer corner and lightest color in the inner corner. Waterproof mascara holds the curl and finishes the look. All done!

Soft natural makeup

Okay now we’re really at my comfort zone. I just really love soft, natural looks like this one. Plus I love glossy lips! Another big thing about this look is the glow. I used my favorite liquid highlight on the cheekbones to really make them pop and glow from within.
